Current Injury Situation for the 2023-24 Season

Karl-Anthony Towns

The Minnesota Timberwolves announced today that forward-center Karl-Anthony Towns is expected to miss the remainder of the 2023-24 season due to a calf injury. The injury occurred during a game against the Los Angeles Lakers on November 27, 2023. Towns underwent an MRI which confirmed the severity of the injury.

Towns has been averaging 24.6 points, 9.8 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game this season. He is one of the most important players on the Timberwolves and his absence will be a major blow to the team.

In addition to Towns, the Timberwolves have several other players who are currently injured.

  • Anthony Edwards (knee)
  • Jaden McDaniels (ankle)
  • Naz Reid (hamstring)

The Timberwolves are currently 17-25 on the season and are in 12th place in the Western Conference. They will need to get healthy soon if they want to make a push for the playoffs.
