Comedian Axel Blake has won Britain's Got Talent 2022, scooping the £250,000 prize money and a spot at the Royal Variety Performance.
The 43-year-old property maintenance manager was left lost for words after beating 10 other finalists to be crowned the winner of the ITV talent show.
Blake, who has been performing comedy for just two years, was a firm favorite with the judges and the public throughout the series, with his witty observations and likeable stage presence.
After being announced as the winner, Blake said: "I can't believe I've won. I'm so grateful to everyone who has supported me, and to the judges for believing in me. I'm going to enjoy every minute of this.".
Blake's win marks the first time a comedian has won Britain's Got Talent since Lost Voice Guy in 2018.
Head judge Simon Cowell said: "Axel is a natural comedian. He has a great stage presence and his material is really funny. I think he has a very bright future ahead of him."
